Turks and Caicos Observes Air Traffic Controllers Day

As Air traffic controllers worldwide celebrate International Day of The Controller, the management and staff of the Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority paused to acknowledge the contribution of the profession to the aviation community.
John Smith, Airports Authority CEO in a remark expressed his appreciation to the air traffic controllers, noting that it is unfortunate that he is not well enough to be there in person to express gratitude.
The day coincides with the constitutional meeting of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers Associations (IFATCA), held in Amsterdam in 1961.
Air traffic controllers are responsible for the safe transit of aircraft through air while maintaining an orderly flow.
