Delta Airlines serves cheese burgers at 30,000 feet

Delta Air Lines on Sunday will celebrate National Cheeseburger Day, in partnership with Shake Shack, to serve cheese burgers at 30,000 feet on select flights.

Customers flying Delta One on select flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport will enjoy a complimentary ShackBurger. Additionally, all customers flying from JFK to LAX on Sept. 18 will receive a voucher for a complimentary ShackBurger at the Los Angeles Shake Shack.

Shake Shack’s partnership with Delta builds on the airline’s ongoing partnership with Union Square Hospitality Group, whose chefs at Marta, Union Square Cafe, North End Grill and Union Square Events have curated in-flight seasonal menus for select Delta One flights.

Since the original Shake Shack opened in 2004 in NYC’s Madison Square Park by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, the company has opened multiple locations including two locations in Terminal 4 (T4) at JFK International Airport in Queens, N.Y.
