Flight operations suspended at Providenciales due to Hurricane Joaquin

PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos Islands, Thursday, October 1st, 2015 – The Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority announced that inclement weather from Hurricane Joaquin is affecting flight operations at Turks and Caicos Islands Airports.

The Turks and Caicos Islands have been placed under Tropical Storm warning with Southerly gale force winds already impacting the islands with top sustained winds reaching 35 knots with gusts near 42 knots.

With sustained gale force winds forecast to last all day, flight operations at Providenciales have been suspended until 6 a.m. on Friday. Passengers should contact their respective airline for flight scheduling.
